Before it was cool to be green, we at Wild Frontier have been encouraging youth workers to teach, talk, and live a creation care worldview because this is an issue many youth are concerned about and it is a Christian responsibility. Creation Care is more than a trend. This is more than a political issue. It is obedience to one of the first commands God gave Adam. Genesis 1:28 tells us "Be responsible for the fish in the sea and the birds in the air, and for every living thing that moves on the face of the Earth." (The Message) When you study all of the scriptures with this eye, you will see that the Church should have been the leaders in any and all of the environmental movements. We as Christians have a responsibility to fulfill to our Earth. We always have. It's too late to take the lead on this but we certainly can get involved.
Bringing your church and youth ministry near and direct to Creation Care is a youth ministry issue. Our teens are becoming more and more passionate about this. So are the ever‑so‑slow‑adapting adults. Typical of adolescence, teens become passionate about many things that don't transfer into their adult years. However, we have hope that with a proper approach to Creation Care in youth ministry we can address that passion and teach lifelong habits about our responsibility to "every living thing that moves on the face of Earth."

Cleaning the Developing World with Unused Hotel Soap
"In 2009, Clean the World was born. It collects soaps and bottled goods from hotels (and charges them around 65 cents per month per room to participate) and reprocesses the soaps to be sent around the world. So far, more than 10 million bars of soap have been distributed to 48 countries, says Gomez. ;That’s also 1.4 million pounds of hotel waste diverted from landfills,' he adds."

Wild Frontier is a mindset. It is a mindset that there is something more out there than what is normal or what is within human limitations. Only the brave dare to have this mindset. The brave dare to be vulnerable. The brave learn to recognize and expose numbing behaviors so that bravery can now be what defines our lives. And vulnerability is the beginning of hope.
Who is Brenda?
Brenda is a brave one. She stutters yet is a national speaker. She loves teaching so much she’s been a substitute teacher for over 20 years. She’s brave enough to enter any classroom at a middle school. She also simply loves teaching groups, whether they are teens or adults. You could say she was created for this, stuttering and all. She has been in youth ministry for 34 years and has no plans to “grow up” and be a real pastor. She bravely loves teenagers, especially that middle school age. She has served in her church, New Covenant Fellowship of Manassas, Virginia, since 1990 and they will probably bury her there.
